  • Welcome PSAA Central Ohio members to the first annual Stepping into Summer Challenge!

    We will be competing against the PSAA Dayton and PSAA Northwest Ohio chapters for ultimate bragging rights. The goal of this challenge is to rack up as many steps as possible between June 16th and June 30th in order to win the first annual Stepping into Summer Challenge. We want you to be healthy, have fun, & show your Penn State Pride.

    Not into running? No problem! We’ll use a conversion factor to turn your biking, swimming, walking, and even yoga into steps that are fair for everyone. Have a new activity you want to add? Let us know and we’ll give you steps towards it! 

    Steps can be logged in the Strava app. You can record via your smart watch or manually log your activities. There will also be 4 mini-challenges throughout the competition. Be sure to keep up with social media and the Strava app so you don’t forget!

  • Summer is a great time have fun and make new connections!

    Our Penn State Spirit blooms while we’re students and brings us together long after graduation. We are inviting all area Alumni and their families to Pins Mechanical to bolster that Spirit and welcome summer. Enjoy some duckpin bowling, arcade games, and pinball as you get to know your fellow Alumni!

    Save the date! – July 12, 2026. Ben Gelber, award winning WCMH meteorologist and Penn State grad, will conduct a behind the scene tour of the WCMH weather facilities. Make plans to join us for this fascinating and informative tour!

    WCMH is located at 3165 Olentangy River Road. Columbus, Ohio 43202. Please plan to arrive by 6:30 PM.

  • The Central Ohio Chapter has teamed up  Market Bar at Bridge Park for Happy Hour! The Market Bar has pledged 10% of Happy Hour bar sales for THON!

    Grab your friends, family, and co-workers and join us Feb 5 from 5-7pm. Enjoy good drinks in good company while supporting kids and their families in their battles against cancer!

  • On Friday evening, February 20th, a few thousand PSU students and Alumni will stand up. They won’t sit down again for 46 hours.

    Why?

    For The Kids. It’s THON weekend!

    Students take part in a 46-hour-long, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon to raise awareness and funds for children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
